A man is arrested for Domestic Battery 3rd degree

On January 14, 2017 @ 9:20 AM Deputy Danny Story responded to the 1st Baptist Church in Perryville. Upon arrival he met with Melissa Cowell, Ms. Cowell stated that Byron Maness (31 yrs old of Perryville) had beat her up. Cowell had a busted lip and her knee's and wrist had bruising and abrasion marks.

Maness was found a few minutes later walking down Pine Street in Perryville. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery 3rd degree and Violation of a Protection Order, both are class A misdemeanor. Maness is being held in the Perry County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
